Früher gab es die Bestimmung, Boote mit einer Motorleistung größer als 3,85 PS müssen von einer Person geführt werden, die im Besitz eines gültigen Sportbootführerscheins ist.
Heute gibt es die Möglichkeit über den Charter Schein auch Boote zu führen, die mehr als 3,85 PS besitzen. Sie dürfen jedoch nicht länger als 14,99 m sein und die Motorleistung nicht größer als 15 PS!
Jeder Bootsführer ist verpflichtet sich vor Antritt der Reise zu informieren. Die Berliner Gewässer sind nur bedingt Führerschein frei.
